  This was the first of three of these types of roadside produce stands we visited on our return trip from SF. This was also the most expensive of them all. They lure you in with signs advertising low prices on Avocados, something like 6 for $1, but they're some of the smallest, mealiest avocados I've ever seen. Everything else was gourmet honey, garlic, and jellies that were marked up at twice the price that they go for in grocery stores.

  This is kind of a silly review. We were driving home to LA from San Jose after visiting with our grandchildren. This fruit stand is on a two way road between highway 101 and Interstate 5. It was the first fruit stand we encountered. There was a sign on the road advertising avocados , 3 for a dollar. We stopped at the stand and I selected 6 of them for $2. They were a little small but they looked like they were in good shape. The person selling the avocados told me that they were from Mexico. After I took them home I let them ripen and they taste good.
  After we purchased the avocados we continued driving towards Interstate 5 and after a couple of more miles I passed a sign advertising 6 avocados for a dollar. There was no need for me to stop in that I already had all the avocados I could eat. But I was disappointed I overpaid for my avocados. Also on the way to Interstate 5 I passed other signs advertising 5 for a dollar. So I ended up paying more money than I had to pay.
